Open Position as Student Research Assistant In the area of Blockchain and distributed ledger technologies

Blockchain and distributed ledger technologies receive an increased attention throughout the industry and science. As the demand for experts in this area increases, the Chair of Software Engineering for Business Information Systems decided to increase its activity in these areas. As of that, we are looking for a motivated student to support the chair in different activities:

  • The chair offers a new lecture in Summer 2018 called “Blockchain and Distributed Ledger Technologies”. The student supports the process of creating content for the lecture and possible exercises.
  • The chair is one of the founding members for www.blockchain.tum.de and manages the website and its content. The student is expected to manage parts of the website and update content regularly.

Requirements:

  • Reliable and motivated student
  • Basic understanding in Blockchain technology
  • Interest in advanced topics (e.g. Smart Contracts)
  • Experiences in MS PowerPoint and LaTeX
  • Ideally: Typo3

In diesem 6-wöchigen Kurs der msg systems werden jede Woche 6-8 kurze Einzelbeiträge zu einem konkreten Thema der Digitalen Transformation freigeschaltet. Hier geben wir Einblicke in neue Geschäftsmodelle, Technologien und die aktuelle Forschung der Digitalen Transformation. In vielen Praxisbeispielen zeigen wir die Transformation in verschiedenen Branchen und in der Produktion sowie die Auswirkungen auf das Arbeitsleben.

Die Inhalte der fünften Woche wurden von Prof. Matthes konzipiert und gemeinsam mit Referenten von Allianz, DB-Schenker, Media-Markt und Webasto erstellt. 

Teilnehmer erhalten eine Teilnahmebestätigung und können bei Interesse gern auch durch das Ablegen einer Prüfung ein Zertifikat erwerben.

JetBrains Night @ TUM, 10.07.2015, 5 pm

We are inviting you to the next JetBrains Night at TUM (Campus Garching), where our guest speakers from JetBrains will talk about functional programming and code review practices. The event takes place on the 10th of July (Friday) at 5:00 pm, room HS 3 (MI-Building, 00.06.011). After the talks all participants are invited to have some snacks and beer outside of the lecture hall.
