Paper on research challenges in ACM accepted

A paper has been accepted for publication at the International Workshop on Adaptive Case Management and other non-workflow approaches to BPM (AdaptiveCM) a the EDOC Conference. In the paper entitled "Research Challenges in Adaptive Case Management: A Literature Review", the author team (Matheus Hauder, Simon Pigat and Florian Mattes) present research challenges for ACM that are derived from an extensive literature review. These challenges are clustered into five high-level categories for challenges in ACM.

Paper on Adaptive Case Management for EAM accepted

A paper has been accepted for publication at the Trends in Enterprise Architecture Research Workshop (TEAR) a the EDOC Conference. In the paper entitled "Examining Adaptive Case Management for Enterprise Architecting", the author team (Matheus Hauder, Dominik Münch, Felix Michel, Alexej Utz and Florian Mattes) present a solution to endorse EA management processes through Adaptive Case Management, while requirements for the solution are derived from an extensive literature survey. The authors evalute the solution with a case study from a German insurance organization.

Research paper accepted at MeDMoT 2013

A paper has been accepted for publication at the International Workshop on Methodical Development of Modeling Tools (MeDMoT). In the paper, the author Team Matheus Hauder, Björn Wüst (iteratec), Max Fiedler, and Florian Matthes present an analysis of task and technology characteristics for Enterprise Architecture (EA) Management tool support. While currently available tools for EA management focus on structured information, the collaborative effort required for developing and planning the EA is often neglected. The paper investigates the integration of existing EA tools and Enterprise Wikis to increase the utilization of these tools by stakeholders and improve the availability of EA products in organizations.

A paper has been accepted at the 7th IEEE International Conference on Research Challenges in Information Science

A research paper has been accepted for the doctoral consortium at the 7th International Conference on Research Challenges in Information Science. In the paper entitled "Bridging the Gap between Social Software and Business Process Management: A Research Agenda", the author Matheus Hauder presents a research agenda for a more effective and flexible design of business processes using social software. Main goal of this project is the development of a new modeling paradigm that empowers end-users to collectively design and adapt workflows in a bottom-up fashion.

Article on Enterprise Architecture Documentation accepted at HICSS 2013

A paper on Enterprise Architecture (EA) Documentation has been accepted for publication at the 46th Hawaii International Conference on System Sciences (HICSS).

Current research activities seek to automate the EA data collection process by integrating existing EA information sources of operative systems. However, a comprehensive analysis of possible information sources and their appropriateness for EA is not yet provided.

To build an empirical basis, the author team (Ruth Breu, Matthias Farwick, Matheus Hauder, Florian Matthes, and Sascha Roth) presents an empirical analysis of information sources for automated EA documentation endeavors. The paper includes findings of a survey conducted on the appropriateness of specific EA information sources for automation with respect to provided data types and data quality.
