Research area

Info for interested students: At the moment, unfortunately, I do not have additional capacity for supervising more theses in SS23 and WS23/24.

• Large-scale agile software engineering with a focus on security and privacy
• Privacy-enhancing methods, especially Differential Privacy
• IT-strategy / Enterprise Architecture Management with a focus on information security management, IT-security or privacy
• (Semi-)automated IT-security and privacy compliance checking (e.g. for cloud environments)

Curriculum Vitae

Sascha Nägele is a researcher at the chair for Software Engineering of Business Information Systems at the Technical University Munich. He holds a M.Sc. in Information Systems ("Wirtschaftsinformatik") and has joined the chair in May 2019. Sascha is passionate about technology itself as well as the business-, human- and process-centered aspects of IT. Therefore, he especially enjoys working at the intersection between technical implementation and user-centered problem-solving of relevant business problems.  

His prior experience includes various positions in the Software Engineering domain, working in different capacities (e. g. Software Engineer, Agile Coach, Requirements Engineer) on various projects and technologies. He also gained experience in Enterprise Architecture Management and IT-strategy. Currently, in addition to his research activities, he is active in the IT-security domain, providing consultancy and implementation.
