The article A Viable System Perspective on Enterprise Architecture Management has been accepted for publication at the 2009 IEEE International Conference on Systems, Man, and Cybernetics (IEEE SMC 2009). In this article, the author team (S.Buckl and C.M.Schweda) discusses, how the cybernetic model of the viable system can be employed to explain the different interacting systems, which together form the EA management system. Based on this perspective, current EA management approaches from literature are analyzed. In particular, their coverage of the five constituing subsystems of a viable system is assessed. From this, a course of action for future research is sketched.

The article Using Enterprise Architecture Management Patterns to complement TOGAF has been accepted for publication at the 13th International EDOC conference (EDOC 2009). In this article, the author team (S.Buckl, A.M.Ernst, F.Matthes, R. Ramacher and C.M.Schweda) discusses, how EAM pattern can be used to implement the architecture development method (ADM) of TOGAF. Further, the question how the ADM can be used to structure EAM patterns is shortly alluded to.
