The technical report State of the art in Enterprise Architecture Management has been published and is available for download at the website of sebis. In this report, the author team (S.Buckl, A.M.Ernst, J.Lankes, F.Matthes, and C.M.Schweda) presents the results of a survey on the state of the art in EA management, conducted from 2006-2008. Therein, different understandings of the term EA management as found in practice are discussed as well as the importance of visualizations as communication basis is emphasized.

The article Improved Feedback for Architectural Performance Prediction using Software Cartography Visualizations has been accepted for publication at the 5th International Conference on the Quality of Software Architecture (QoSA2009). This article is a joint effort of authors from the chair of Prof. Reussner (University of Karlsruhe) and sebis. The author team (K.Krogmann, C.M.Schweda, S-Buckl, M.Kuperberg, A.Martens, F.Matthes, and R.Reussner) discuss the state-of-the-art in visualizing the results of architectural performance predictions. They elaborate on the difficulties, user have with the current visualizations and propose a software cartography based alternative visualization technique. An empirical survey gives indications, that this technique can improve user understanding of the information.

The article A Wiki-based Approach to Enterprise Architecture Documentation and Analysis has been accepted for publication and presentation at the 17th European Conference on Information Systems (ECIS 2009). In this article, the author team (S.Buckl, F.Matthes, C.Neubert, and C.M.Schweda) discuss how wiki-systems can be used to document the architecture of complex systems. Thereby, especially means as tagging and ways to introduce semi-structured data are discussed. The documentation technique is further illustrated at the application example of enterprise architecture.

The article Constructing an Information Model for Application Landscape Management has been accepted for publication and presentation at the forum of the 21st International Conference on Advanced Information Systems (CAISE) 2009. In this article, the author team (S.Buckl, A.Ernst, F.Matthes, C.M.Schweda) elaborates on the role of projects a the executors of organizational change. During the analysis of the state-of-the-art in this field, the article shows common drawbacks of the current approaches. Contrasting, an approach based on temporal patterns for object-oriented modeling is presented.
The closely related article An Information Model Capturing the Managed Evoluation of Application Landscape of the same author team has been accepted for publication and presentation at the 5th International Workshop on Cooperation & Interoperability - Architecture & Ontology (CIAO!) 2009. In this article, the concepts as presented in the corresponding CAISE Forum article are further extended to be applicable on business-related concepts in the context of application landscapes.

The article An Information Model for Managed Application Landscape Evolution has been accepted in the Journal of Enterprise Architecture. In the article, the author team (S. Buckl, A.M. Ernst, F.Matthes, and C.M.Schweda) discusses the state of the art in modeling application landscapes and planning their evolution. From this discussion, common problems of the current approaches are derived, and an information model incorporating the requirements is proposed.
