Curriculum Vitae & Research Interests

Christian M. Schweda was born 1980 in Rosenheim, Oberbayern and received his Abitur from Finsterwalder Gymnasium Rosenheim in 2000. After his Zivildienst (compulsory paid community service in Germany) at Nachbarschaftshilfe Rosenheim, he enrolled as student of informatics (minor: Mathematics) at Technische Universität München in 2001. Christian M. Schweda was active member of Fachschaft M/P/I (student union of the faculties of mathematics, informatics and physics). Since 2003 he has worked as student assistant at the chair for informatics 19 (sebis). In April 2007, Christian M. Schweda received a diploma degree (with distinction) and joined sebis as research assistant the following month.

During his work at sebis, Christian M. Schweda worked in the project teams of the (now completed) projects EAMTS2005, EAMTS2008 and Software Cartography. Currently, he works in the project teams of EAMML, HybridWiki, SyCaTool and SimEA.

His main area of research is enterprise architecture (EA) management with special interests in conceptual modeling of EAs. He seeks to develop architectural models that can serve multiple purposes simultaneously, i.e. support both communication among the architecture stakeholders and computation of architectural properties. As part of his ongoing research, he works on EA analysis models, which can be used to operationalize, measure and predict properties of the respective management body. Complementing the theoretic inquiries, Christian M. Schweda is always interested to proof the practical applicability of the findings in a prototypic and experimental tool platform (SyCaTool) and student projects at practice partners (see supervised student theses below).
